The Pennsylvania Game Commission says they’ve received multiple reports from the southeast part of the state regarding of nestling and fledgling songbirds with ocular and neurological issues.

The game commission says that, in some cases, birds have been found dead in large numbers.

They say birds affected include blue jays, starlings, common grackles, robins and cardinals.

Cases have been reported in Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Indiana, Ohio and Florida.

In Pennsylvania, the disease has been located in Nottingham, Chester County.

The recent cases have prompted the game commission to recommend that people stop feeding birds until the event is resolved.
