NASHVILLE (CelebrityAccess) WME has announced that it has signed John Mayer for exclusive worldwide representation, and will represent the Grammy-winning artist in music, film, television, books and endorsements.
Mayer, who has sold more than 20 million records worldwide, has a total of 19 Grammy nominations, home seven awards. In 2015, he formed Dead & Company alongside Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, and Mickey Hart. Last year, he embarked on three separate tours stretching nine countries. He performed 62 shows on his solo “The Search for Everything” world tour, plus 33 shows with Dead & Company, touring stadiums amphitheaters and arenas, and joined Dave Chappelle for seven sold-out “Controlled Danger” performances including a New Year’s Eve performance at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
The signing follows a pattern: John Mayer was repped by Scott Clayton at CAA, who recently became a co-partner at WME’s Nashville office.
Dead & Company, meanwhile, is currently co-repped by WME Nashville and Paradigm’s Nashville office and is about to travel to Riviera Maya, Mexico, for sold-out shows Feb. 15-18, returning to the States for arena shows in New Orleans and Sunrise and Orlando, Fla., Feb. 24, 26 and 27, with more dates expected to be announced soon.
Mayer is managed by Irving Azoff and Steve Moir.
